WE, the DAV Public School West Patel Nagar feels proud to
become a part of this program and we would always be in touch with this program
as this world wide global project not only teaches us but
inspire us towards
professionalism and to become great entrepreneur in the future. The enterprise
gives us essential life skills like teamwork, problem solving, leadership and
experiential learning and exposure of real market situation, which we would not
attain through textbook knowledge.
With this program we are not only becoming the good
entrepreneur for earning money rather we are preparing ourselves to face
society challenges and issues related to the country. This project educated us
to become the best we possibly could be as both individual and member of
society. “If you do that right the rest follows”. This project explained us
that their job is not to produce job fodder but to give pupil the confidence to
develop as flexible and effective employees, who will keep on learning and be
innovators. Through our ongoing involvement in school enterprise challenge, we
have established and grown a successful handicrafts business called SRIJAN and
our eco-friendly product which include bags, rakhis, envelopes, candy pouch and
decorative material from recycled material. SRIJAN has also had a considerable
social impact. Our half of the profit generated in 2016 and 17 have been
re-invested for the successful cataract surgery operation of the senior citizen
in NGO-HELPAGE INDIA. When it comes to giving, there are lots we can do in this
world, but there is nothing more pure and precious than investing in somebody’s
vision to see the beautiful world. Entrepreneurship is a dynamic process. It’s
concerned with not only one, but many core skills required for success. It
makes a person flexible and competent and helps us develop a better
understanding of problems around us and pushes us to look for new and effective
solutions.

The School Enterprise challenge programme gives us the unique
opportunity to understand the costs and benefits of risk taking, communication
skills and the importance of collaboration. With the earth resources quickly
depleting and technology promising to revolutionize our economy, students gain
benefit from gaining entrepreneurial skills they can directly apply to the real
world.
WE are proud to be a participant of school enterprise
challenge. The biggest thing we learnt from this programme is the importance of
the little things we take for granted. We also learnt what means to be happy is
and we learnt that one should never stop dreaming, no matter what the
circumstances are.
